DEAN MET FOR THE FIRST TIME AN EYE WITNESS TO THE TRAGEDY THAT CLAIMED THE LIFE OF HER FATHER.  MRS. ELIZABETH SMITH WAS 8 AT THE TIME AND REMEMBER SEEING TITANIC'S FLARES OF DISTRESS THAT NIGHT, WHILE ON A SHIP CALLED THE SATURNIA. MISS. DEAN WAS 87 AT THE TIME OF THE SIGNING IN THIS PHOTO. 
     

    ALSO INCLUDED IS THE PHOTO OF MRS ELIZABETH SMITH SEEN HERE ON MAY 24TH 1999 AT THE AGE OF 95 SIGNING IN GOLD THE RESCUE. MRS. SMITH WAS 8 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE CAME TO CANADA FROM SCOTLAND IN 1912. MRS. SMITH PASSED AWAY ON JANUARY 11TH 2002 AT THE AGE OF 98 IN EDMONTON ALBERTA.

     NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIMITED PRINT BUT ONLY FOR HISTORICAL INFO ONLY. HERE IS THE ACTUAL SAID TO BE ICEBERG IN THE VICINITY OF THE TITANIC’S SINKING PHOTO TAKEN ON APRIL 15TH 1912 BY THE CHIEF STEWARD OF THE LINER PRINZ ADALBERT WHO STATED THAT THE ICEBERG HAD RED PAINT ON THE EDGES. THIS SAME RED PAINT MATCHES THE DESCRIPTION OF THE TITANIC’S WATER LINE BELOW THE HULL.

    The saturnia was launched on march 29th 1910 and made her maiden voyage on june 11th 1911 from glasgow TO MONTREAL quebec. in august 1911 she hit an iceberg near belle isle but was able to complete her voyage home. THE SATURNIA MADE COUNTLESS ATLANTIC VOYAGES AND MADE her last voyage ON MARCH 12TH 1925 ON THE GLASGOW TO PORTLAND SERVICES she was sold in december 1928 and scrapped in italy in 1929.
